In this program, we target your well-being as a parent and your relationship with your teenager and focus on the connection between the two.
The aim is to allow your growth to inspire your teenager’s growth so that you can be your teen’s greatest life coach!
In Thriving with Teens, you will be introduced to numerous research-based techniques and tools to manage Burnout and stress, the psychology of positive communication and developmental relationship-building strategies.
The program uses some methods of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) to eliminate undesirable thinking patterns that create challenges in your life and limit your ability to thrive as a parent and an individual. The methods will support and guide you to connect and utilise your internal and external resources, which are vital to your growth and your teenager’s.

This 3-month coaching package will support you to:
You will discover the three main ingredients of self-compassion and how to effectively implement them as a caregiver. The strategies will help you to reduce your anxiety, regulate your emotions, eradicate your perfectionist, controlling and overprotective tendencies and positively enrich your relationship with yourself and your adolescent.
Develop Constructive Communication Habits
You will learn how to communicate from the heart and make yelling, silent treatment, blaming, and using ultimatums or threats a thing of the past. The guidance and communication framework provided will support you in communicating your needs healthily without compromising your relationships.
Re-Establish balance in your life and build resilience
You will be equipped with research-proven resources and strategies in the field of Parental Burnout to help eliminate and reduce stressors and enhance and add resources and support to establish balance in your work and personal life.
The mindset work will be beneficial when faced with upheavals and changes adolescents go through. A resilient and positive mindset will support you in overcoming these challenges and perceive them as opportunities to grow, learn and bond.
Build a Positive Developmental Relationship with your teenager
You will be guided on how to build a positive developmental relationship with your teenager based on mutual respect, share power, care, support and challenge growth. The strategies will allow you to turn moments of frustration into joy, control your urge to fight every battle, and recognise that your teenager is unique and must be treated as such.
- 1 x 30-minute non-compulsory comprehensive Parental Burnout Assessment (Mikolajczak & Roskam) to be completed online by you and submitted for evaluation
- 1 x 60-minute action-focused consultation concentrating on your responses, working out your main priorities, setting your goals and designing your personalised and structured program to suit your Burnout profile, your needs and your teenager’s needs
- 6 x 1 hour-long coaching sessions
- Resources and strategies to support you beyond our time together
- WhatsApp messaging support throughout the week
- 2 x WhatsApp call if you require deep support
- Ongoing email support (all correspondence responded to within 24-48 hours of receipt) throughout the 3 months we will be working together.
